This is a custom Queen sized platform storage bed made using a combination of solid red oak & cabinet grade red oak plywood that we built for a customer in Berkeley to fit their specifications.  It features 6 over sized drawers, 4 on the left and 2 on the right. The drawers were installed using full extension drawer slides.  The headboard features a traditional cubby style storage with a shelf and extra thick sliding doors, and a hidden storage feature as well.  The platform was made from 3/4” cabinet grade Birch plywood. 

The bed was sealed with a semi-gloss polyurethane.  The drawers on both side are slightly open in this picture so that the face frames could dry.
